Hopper Happenings - 11/24/25 — Happy Hoppers

We had a great student level dance Sunday evening with 73 attendees. 20 Happy Hoopers and 11 students enjoyed our Student Appreciation Party on Saturday!

Hello Hoppers,

We had a great student level dance Sunday evening with 73 attendees; 14 were students and 8 of those were Hopper Students. And the split the pot winner walked away with $84. Congratulations to our Round Tuit recipients: club member John Fong, and 6 of our students; Andrene Zuanich, Cheryl Raymond, Rob Raymond, Jennifer Coy, Tracy Sanford and Summer Utley!

20 Happy Hoopers and 11 students enjoyed our Student Appreciation Party on Saturday! Thank you Chris, Rita and Kirk for putting it together, Jim for providing the venue, Steve for the fun bingo game and prizes, and everyone who brought food and helped set up / take down! We were happy to see a lot of the clothing find new homes.

Our lessons are going great and our new dancers are doing fantastic! We are so proud of them. Note that we will not have lessons on 12/23 or 12/30 due to school closure. To keep the fun going, some students and angels are going to Skagit Squares on 12/23. We hope to see you there! Skagit charges $2 for angels, $5 for students and lessons are 7pm-9pm. Skagit Squares will not be having a lesson on 12/30.

Seeking Volunteers!

We are seeking three volunteers for our Nominating Committee. Please let us know if you can fill this role. According to Article IX Section 10 of the bylaws, by the December meeting, the club must select a three-person nominating committee. This committee will:

Prepare a list of candidates for each office
Present it at the February regular meeting
Promote nominations at club dances between February and March

We are just 31 shy of having 1,000 Facebook followers, and our visibility is paying off - we’ve had callers contact us to request bookings! Also, when we reach 1000 followers, our costs will lower for next seasons campaign. Our last campaign brought in 9 new students — keep sharing and inviting others to follow us!

Our private Facebook group for Members, Students & Alumni — has 37 members so far. It’s for club announcements, Hopper-only events, and member posts.
